The Man Behind This Famous Portrait

We all remember that famous photo of the New York builders having their lunch thousands of feet up sitting on the metal beam of an under construction skyscraper, but have you thought about who took that photo…and how?

Well here he is: Charles Clyde Ebbets – actually taking the photo.

The fact that he had the creativity to come up with an idea and composition like that, and to risk his life taking the photo, makes him a true genius of the photography world – and he looked sharp doing it.

Of course, all of this begs the question, who took this photo of Ebbets?!
